First Screening at Fearrington Village

A Work in Progress of our nearly completed "Miss Nancy" was screened at Fearrington Village (south of Chapel Hill, NC) on April 27th. We were thrilled to see that the film was very well received by an enthusiastic audience of over a hundred people! Miss Nancy was in attendance and charmed
the audience in a Q&A after the screening.

We thank Linda Booker and the folks at ChathamArts Sustainable Cinama Series for inviting us to their wonderful April event.

We are hoping that we will have a series of screenings
throughout the summer as we continue to fine tune our documentary.
Thank you for your continuing enthusiasm and support.

Fearrington Village is an elegant resort/village south of Chapel Hill. Above is the main restuarant and below is the Barn. It was a wonderful place to kick off our documentary to an enthusiastic and interested audience!

The Barn was the site of the screening. Once a real dairy barn, it makes a wonderful theatre as well as a great place for receptions and meetings.

Quite a shock....but wonderful, to see our film on a full size screen with a real live and enthusiastic audience.

Photos of interviews we conducted Fall 2007

At the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, we interviewed noted
Etiquette "guru" Celia Budd Grimes, who oversees etiquette
training for the UNC girls basketball team and author of 5 books
on etiquette and all things "Southern".

Teachers talking about Miss Nancy's manners classes
at DF Walker School and the impact she makes on the students.

Caroline and Martha interviewed Betty McCain,
former NC Secretary of Culture about the tradition of manners in the South...
she was so much fun to talk to!

A few more thoughts from Miss Nancy ...we could listen for hours.
